Altre informazioni:
Crowden Clough is seen here on the right dropping down to emerge into the Vale of Edale. In the distance, on the other side of the vale, is Mam Tor and Rushup Edge. Kinder Scout is a peat bog moorland plateau on gritstone in the north of Derbyshire in England. It rises to a height of 636 metres (2, 087 ft) and is situated at the southern tip of the Pennines which run from Derbyshire to Scotland. In 1932 the then private moorland was the target of a mass trespass eventually leading to the creation of National Parks throughout Britain. Below the southern edges of Kinder Scout is the village of Edale where the Pennine Way, a long walk to Scotland, starts (or ends). Walking on Kinder Scout can be difficult, even dangerous in poor weather (which is not infrequent) but remains popular with walkers. This image is exclusive to Alamy.
