Tinned Pemmican, Chocolate and Cocoa from various Shackleton Antarctic expeditions on display at The Polar Museum in Cambridge, UK. The unopened tin of pemmican, with a colourful paper label reading: 'Pemmican, J.D. Beauvais Preserved Provisions, Denmark', was taken from the hut of the British Antarctic Expedition 1907-09 (Nimrod) at Cape Royds, McMurdo Sound. The unopened tin of chocolates in printed paper wrapper: 'Carson's chocolate. Specially prepared for Sir Ernest H. Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic (Endurance) Expedition' was retrieved from Elephant Island by T.H. Orde Lees, the expedition's store-keeper. The unopened tin of cocoa, with a printed label reading: 'Carson's cocoa. Specially prepared for Sir Ernest H. Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic (Endurance) Expedition' was retrieved from Elephant Island by T.H. Orde Lees, store-keeper on the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1914-16 (Elephant Island).
