Altre informazioni

Kenya, Kikuyu - the Rift Valley has a pleasant climate and more importantly, a lake where many flower growers from Europe have their branches and export the flowers to the flower auction in the Netherlands. To safeguard exports, insecticides are used to combat flower diseases. The men who spray these chemicals are protected with clothing and masks. The effect on the water (in the lake) is unknown, but there are regular awareness demonstrations by people living near the lake.
