A recent survey showed that the average monthly salary for Chinese white-collar workers stands at 7, 599 yuan (1, 147 USD), which rose three percent after a recent fall, Chinanews.com reported on October 19, 2017. The survey was related job search issues for white-collar workers. It was released by Zhaopin Ltd, one of China's most popular online job sites, which monitored the competitive situation of the job market and analyzed recruitment data from China's 37 major cities. Beijing has the highest average monthly salary at 9, 900 yuan (1, 495 USD). Some new first-tier cities, such as Chengdu, Hangzhou and Ningbo, have devoted assistance at a policy level, such as raising salaries and subsidies to attract professional talent, causing the national average salary to increase, the survey showed.
