Baby Amur Tigers with mum UK HEART-MELTING images of a Siberian tiger mum caring for her cubs were captured at the UK?s Banham Zoo. These two-month-old cubs were a rare sight at the zoo because cubs that young usually do not come out of their dens. Siberian tigers, also known as Amur tigers, are among the larger tiger sub-species. The average weight for males is 352-418 pounds, while females are smaller, at 242-286 pounds. Their coat colour is a lighter orange than that of other tiger subspecies and becomes even more so in winter. It is longer and thicker than other sub-populations because of the colder climate, and they have a thick mane around the neck and extra fur on their paws, which protects them against the cold. These adorable images were captured by British wildlife photographer Talvinder Chohan (41) using a Canon EOS R6 camera with a 400mm f2.8 lens. ?It was a special moment as it is very rare to get such bold and active cubs amongst a lovely wintery backdrop, ? he said. ?I hope these pictures connect people more to nature and wildlife. ?The cubs' bountiful playfulness and their curiosity were fascinating to witness. ?The bond between the cubs and the mother deeply moved me.?
